William and Gillian are uryuoms and US citizens by birth. They enlisted the help of the government so that they could look more like humans, which brought them into contact with Mr. Verres.[1] They asked him if he could help them modify a transformation device that would be illegal to sell so that it could impose forms on people regardless of what they originally looked like, something that is known as clone form technology. Tedd, overhearing the conversation, volunteered to undertake the modification,[2] which ultimately resulted in the TF Gun some years later.[3]
They regularly visited Tedd to check if he had made any progress.[4] Thus they visited Tedd when he had the clone forms ready. They failed to recognize him since he wasn't wearing his glasses.[5] and were surprised when he showed that he was wearing glasses.[6] Tedd told Elliot to keep the uryuoms company while he was finishing the clone forms.[7] William and Gillian told Elliot about their egg, which confused him,[8] so they explained uryuom reproduction.[9] When Elliot asked when Tedd was doing for them, the uryuoms decided to tell the full story to give Elliot less time to ask further awkward questions.[10] After they finished telling him Gillian mentioned teaching Tedd uryuomoco and William showed how they could teach languages by rubbing his antennae to Elliot's forehead.[3]
After Tedd told William and Gillian that he was ready and took them to the basement[11] they met Grace and over her objections told her that she had to leave since they would be naked.[12] After the uryuoms had transformed they experienced human attraction and Gillian summoned a hammer when William talked about letting Grace stay there, even though she wasn't offended and didn't know about hammer summoning.[13] When Tedd offered to give them back one of his transformation guns the uryuoms let him keep it.[14] After the uryuoms left they noted that they could sense that Grace was transformed in a way that suggested that she is a seyunolu.[15]
