Video Gaaaaaames is the twenty ninth story arc in EGS:NP. It started with EGS:NP Comic for 2016-06-13 and ended with EGS:NP Comic for 2016-07-22. It features Grace playing videogames - first Overwatch, then in another attempt in non-violence Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Summary[]

The narrator recommended Overwatch to Grace. When she saw that the character selection screen showed Bastion with a cute bird, she decided to play it.[1] She at first intended to play as Mei but when she learned that D.Va has a bunny-themed mech she decided to play as her.[2] She tested D.Va's ultimate move and was surprised to find that it involved blowing up her mech.[3] When she found the voice chat with other players unhelpful she turned it off, an option called "Splatoon mode".[4] She commented that she would like Reinhardt to wear bull-themed armor since she the enemy is highlighted in red and she found it funny to be a bull while charging at red.[5]

Then Dan said that he would like a parkour game about delivering pizza, without the plots of other parkour games such as Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge[6] (after he was informed that Ninja Pizza Girl fits that description, he clarified in the next commentary that he wanted an open world parkour game and Ninja Pizza Girl is too linear).[7]

Then Grace decided to play a (mostly) no-kill run of Deus Ex: Human Revolution (though you need to kill bosses).[7] After she learned the premise of the game[8] she was disappointed that the player character isn't a cyborg from the start of the game.[9] She didn't start with non-lethal takedowns in first level but had to kill the enemies to save some people.[10] She referenced Leeroy Jenkins when she entered the fight that injured the player character, Adam Jensen, so that he became a cyborg.[11] She noted that Adam Jansen's retractable sunglasses could harm him if they'd break.[12] When she used the non-lethal takedowns she noted that they are definitely violent and in fact look lethal,[13] especially if the victims fell in water.[14] To get more XP she had to knock out every guard she could find in addition to sneaking past them.[15] Grace completely lost the no-kill aspect when enemy attacked an ally of her (it's a known point where if you don't fight aggressively enough, the ally will die) When she told Tedd, she referred to that ally as "my waifu" and mentioned she avoided "bae" since she knew Danish.[16] A superhero of language awareness showed up to point out that the Danish word that Grace was avoiding is different from "bae" but Grace clarified that it's similar enough.[17]

Then two women (who had been seen being hopeful and then disappointed when Grace announced that she was going to play Deus Ex[7]) recommended Undertale to her.[18]
