The Ravens

The Ravens are the immortal Pandora, her mortal lover Blaike Raven, and their son Adrian. This article also covers Adrian's descendants and his household.

Pandora Raven

Pandora was an immortal who, when she was 150 years old, was bored with her predictable life. Then she met the adventurer Blaike and fell in love with him, becoming his adventure companion. Then, they had a son, Adrian. After Blaike was killed by a werewolf (probably the spawn of the Dewitchery Diamond), Pandora lived for hundreds of years (usually immortals reset after two hundred years since they become dangerous when they grow older) in order to stay with Adrian and remember Blaike.

Closer to the present day, when Magus was trapped in the spiritual plane, Pandora gave him a convoluted plan for escaping. Then she (under the influence of her nature as an old immortal) allowed Abraham to fight Adrian in order to punish Adrian for being selfless and tried to force Magus to make Edward Verres kill Abraham as revenge for Abraham making the Dewitchery Diamond and for Edward ending his friendship with Adrian. When Adrian was unhappy about her actions, she decided to change the world by ending magic secrecy so he could live openly as a magic user.

Thus Pandora dammed the flow of magic energy to give Moperville an excess of magic and gave many people magic marks. (Unlike most immortals, she could give people magic marks without their permission, so she usually didn't tell them about the marks).

When Pandora learned from the emissary of Magic that magic would change to avoid being used by too many, she asked Sarah Brown and Adrian for help removing the dam on the flow of magic. Adrian was angry about her actions and Pandora realized that he was right. Then she realized that magic had a purpose for Tedd Verres' (Adrian's godson) unusual powers and sought out Heka for more information. Heka told her that Tedd is a seer and also revealed that immortals can have descendants. Pandora told Tedd that he is a seer. After thinking about her past evil actions and the mental instability that caused them, she decided to do a modified reset, or refresh, that would pass on her attachment to her family. When a group of vampires tried to kill Adrian, Pandora had to break immortal law to kill the vampires. She used the forced reset to kill most of the vampires in the world.

Pandora's refresh succeeded, and she is now known as Hope.

Blaike Raven

Blaike Raven was Pandora's husband and Adrian Raven's father, who lived hundreds of years ago. He met Pandora when he was seeking a treasure. She offered important information about the treasure (there was no treasure, only a dangerous monster) but he turned down the information because he wanted to find out the hard way, which Pandora could relate to. They became adventuring companions and lovers. They had a son, Adrian. Then Blaike was killed by a werewolf (probably the spawn of the Dewitchery Diamond) while he was trying to protect a group of travelers.

Adrian Raven

Adrian Raven is Pandora and Blaike's son. As he is an elf (human-immortal hybrid), he has lived for hundreds of years. He is a wizard. He wanted to be a soldier to protect the people of his country. However, since he is an elf, he is forbidden from fighting except in situations involving magic or immediate threats to himself and others.

Adrian is a teacher at Moperville South High School and takes an interest in students who are magic users. He taught Noriko and Edward Verres but later had a falling-out with Edward, probably related to Noriko leaving Edward and their son, Tedd.

He used to think that he, as an elf, cannot have children. However, that was a lie passed on by his mother from her previous resets, and he actually sired at least two children during his life.

Adrian Raven's bloodline

Adrian Raven has unknowingly had two children. His bloodline has a magic affinity for summoning anti-vampire weapons.

Susan Pompoms

Susan Pompoms is a young woman who is a descendant of a child Adrian Raven unknowingly had when he was in his twenties. She goes to Moperville North High School. She is an awakened magic user who has summoning magic.

Diane

Main article: Diane

Diane is a young woman who is the daughter of Adrian Raven and a woman he had a one-night stand with. She goes to Moperville South High School and has thus met her biological father before either of them knew that they are related. She lives with a family that has adopted her and loves her adopted family while seeing her biological father as a deadbeat father, probably since long before she knew who he is.

Noah

Noah is a young man who escaped the master of fire cult that made Damien when Damien murdered the rest of the cult. He has lived at Adrian Raven's house since then, and they see each other as father and son.

Max

Adrian Raven has a pet named Max, a cat with hedgehog spines similar to Jeremy. When Grace was visiting Adrian to plan the attempt to save the boar, Max startled her by hissing. After she saw him, she talked to him in a friendly manner using her ability to communicate with animals.
