The New World is the twenty-first storyline group in the main canon of EGS. It begun August 20, 2018 and ended March 12, 2021, clocking in at 374 pages. It includes the following storylines:

  • The Legend of Diane: Diane overhears gossip about her being a slut. Flashbacks show the history of Diane's friendship with Lucy and their dating habits. Diane publicly denounces the rumors about her as false in order to defend Lucy's reputation, with surprising success. Lucy reveals that she is in love with Diane and they begin a relationship.
  • The Secret of Sam: When Sarah starts dating Sam, Grace, who knows that Sam is trans, has to deal with keeping Sam's secret. Then Grace learns that Sam can transform and they talk about magic and about being trans.
  • Q&A 8: Q&A session hosted by Amanda and Lisa.
  • Title Pending/Reflections: Elliot throws a party to introduce Ashley to his friends. Susan doesn't want to go to the party and avoids her friends because she doesn't want to talk about her recent traumatic experiences (Sister 3). When Susan mentions the party to Diane, Diane insists on going to the party together. At the party the group play with transformation magic. Then Tedd tells Diane about her magic research. Then they decide to tell Ashley's friend Liz about magic and Grace suggests telling Rhoda and Catalina; they decide to try to find out if Rhoda and Catalina have magic before telling them about magic. Then the group are transformed by a magic mirror made by Tedd's mother, Noriko, and Tedd manages to make the mirror safe and transform her friends back to normal; Tedd also sees in the mirror that her mother is scarred. Then Diane and Susan finally tells the others that they are related to the Ravens.

The Legend of Diane[]

When Diane was a child she was given an assignment at school to write about the person she admired the most and she chose her father since he adopted her and her sister (Rhea) and she considered other men and boys jerks.[1]

When Diane met Rhoda and Lucy at school on the Monday after she met Susan and saw the fight against the vampires (Sister 3) they were surprised that she had had a haircut and wore a long-sleeved shirt.[2] Rhoda asked her if she disguised herself to avoid attention due to killing a snake monster and Diane told them that it wasn't she who killed the monster, but didn't tell them that it was actually Susan.[3]

As Diane was hard to recognize due to her haircut, she overheard two men saying that she was sexually easy[4] and Camelia telling her friend that Diane was so unlikable that the men could only be interested in her for sex.[5] When Diane told Lucy and Rhoda what she had heard, Lucy said that she shouldn't be surprised and that there were similar rumors about herself.[6] Lucy was angry at Diane's failure to realize what other people said about them.[7]

A flashback to junior high explained how this situation had come about. Lucy complained about boys making fun of her for being tall and hitting on her. Diane comforted her and declared that they would find the good boys together. Lucy said she wished Diane were a boy, but rowed back rather than explain why.[8] Diane told Lucy that she wanted her date to pay for her to show that they were willing to be providers for their future family (she planned to be a stay-at-home mother) and that dating experience was good for understanding boys.[9] Later they realized that they and their boyfriends were too young for serious relationships and decided that their dates were more about hanging out with each other.[10]

Back in the main timeline, Diane realized how her exploitative serial dating habit had contributed to the lies and bad feeling, and asked Lucy why she went on double dates despite knowing about the gossip; Lucy struggled with her emotions as she tried to answer and was saved by the bell announcing the next class.[11] Diane noted that Lucy had become grumpier and Rhoda said that Lucy had become nicer to her. Diane wondered why. Lucy brooded alone, beginning another flashback.[12]

This flashback covered the more recent dynamic since Diane brought shy, studious Rhoda under her wing. Lucy was resistant to the expansion to a trio, but was persuaded, blushing, when Diane complimented her as a 'guardian angel'. Rhoda also blushed at a compliment from Diane, making Lucy jealous.[13] Lucy was also jealous another time when Diane expressed admiration for Nanase. Rhoda asked Diane if her admiration was romantic - Rhoda appeared crushed by Diane's denial and Lucy mostly convinced.[14] Ending the flashback, Lucy told herself that her feelings for Diane were doomed to remain a hopeless secret.

Back in the present, after Diane learned about the rumors about her she wondered how she could fail to realize there were such rumors and a childlike personification of her innocence appeared in her imagination and said that she was bad at introspection.[15] Diane's inner child explained how she slowly stopped feeling close to the boys she dated as dating became a habit[16] and pointed out that she once called Justin defective because he wouldn't date her since he was gay and because she was bitter about Rick being gay[17](in the storyline Intro to South). Diane's inner child also pointed out that she already wanted something better, as shown by her interest in Nanase and Elliot, her helping Charlotte's Angels and her recent makeover back to her childhood look.[18]

Diane thought about apologizing to the men she dated but concluded that they either didn't deserve or didn't need apologies, but that she should apologize to Justin. She thought that those who believed the rumors about her wouldn't believe her if she denied them, but then remembered that there were rumors about Lucy too.[19] She jumped onto a table in the cafeteria[20] and told those present what she had overheard and that she was a virgin[21] in the hope that those who lied about her would doubt what others said about Lucy.[22] The men she had overheard accused each other of lying and admitted that they lied and so did others. Camelia's friend confessed that she wasn't a virgin.[22] Camelia apologized for her slut-shaming. Two other men at the cafeteria declared that everyone should stop judging each other for whether they are virgins and the others agreed.[23]

Lucy realized that Diane denounced the rumors for her, and answered Diane's question about why she had continued double dating: to be with Diane, and she had eventually realized she simply wanted to date Diane.[24] Lucy made an excuse and went away before Diane could react to this revelation,[25] but Diane caught her up and hugged her.[26] Diane tried to say that she already had what she wanted and Lucy interrrupted her to say that she shouldn't have expected Diane to realize that she was in love with her and declared "You will always be my light". Diane kissed Lucy.[27] Diane said that she already had much of what she wanted with Lucy and that "You will always be my light" was the most romantic thing anyone ever said to her and they kissed again.[28]

Rhoda told them that Catalina was her girlfriend; Diane and Lucy said that they had already realized that, which made Rhoda angry.[29] She berated the two of them for their apparent homophobia, which had made her keep her relationship with Catalina secret. However, surfing the wave of her assertiveness, Rhoda instructed Lucy and Diane to have one date on their own and then double date with her and Catalina. She wished them well and left them dumbfounded.[30]

Diane thought about why her birth mother didn't tell Adrian Raven she was pregnant. She then remembered that Mr. Raven had lost his mother and decided to apologize to Justin instead of thinking of her biological grandmother.[31] When Diane apologized to Justin he pretended that he didn't remember what she was apologizing for.[32]

The Secret of Sam[]

This summary divides the chapter into subchapters which do not reflect how it is listed in the comic website, as it is long.

The Secret of Sam (early scenes)[]

Months ago Grace stared at Sam because she was surprised that someone who was apparently a woman had a beard and Sam told her to look up "trans" and keep it secret. Later (Squirrel Prophet) Sarah asked out Sam for a maybe-date.[33]

On the Wednesday after the minor change of magic, Grace told Sarah that her clothes changed with her (as revealed in Sister 3 - Part 25: Changes). When Grace mentioned the change Sarah became sad; to distract her from thoughts about Pandora (who was forced to reset in Sister 3 - Part 22: Apocalypse), Grace asked about her not-date with Sam on the previous Friday.[34] They watched a movie for the not-date but before they watched it they came up with a story based on the poster for the movie and they were disappointed by the actual movie.[35] It was fun to talk about the movie[36] but Sarah was confused by Sam waving goodbye instead of hugging. Grace didn't tell her that Sam probably avoided hugging because Sarah might notice that he is trans.[37] When Grace lay in bed she briefly felt guilt about not telling Sarah why Sam didn't hug her but decided not to out Sam.[38]

On Friday Grace planned to smile at Sam at Salty Crackers Comics to make him feel safer since he knew that she knew his secret but she worried that he might think she was making fun of him.[39] Luke asked her if there was anything weird going on like when she left after the lights that appeared in the sky (previously mentioned in Sister 3 - Part 25: Changes). Justin joked about Grace being a superheroine allied with Cheerleadra.[40] Grace asked them to shut up about the matter as she felt uncomfortable about Luke knowing something of her secrets. She realized that Sam might feel the same about her. When Sarah and Tedd arrived at the comic shop[41] Sarah told Grace that Sam wouldn't be there that day.[42] Sarah asked Luke about his date with Justin, and Justin told her that they hadn't been on a date yet[42] because of Justin's work schedule but they would date next Friday.[43] Grace was tempted to give Sam magic transformation technology but realized that it would be a bad idea.[44] During a Magickal Gatherings tournament Sarah and Tedd thought about Pandora and Grace hugged them.[45][46]

When Grace and Justin were cleaning up the comic store, a bag of dice fell on the floor and Grace morphed out her antennae[47] to sense where the dice were.[48] Tedd and Grace told Justin that the antennae helped Grace shapeshift precisely by enhancing her senses.[49]

At the college dorms, Luke's friend Camdin, who can transform into a cloud of smoke, asked Luke if he had learned anything new about magic.[50] Camdin was disappointed by the lack of progress and said that he would gather information with his powers.[51]

On Saturday while Grace and Ellen were at the mall Grace thought about Sam and Sarah, and told Ellen that she didn't know what she should do. Ellen assumed that she felt guilty about not fighting the monsters at the mall[52] and said that Grace's real power was her kindness.[53] While they were hugging, Grace saw Sam fleeing from her.[54]

The Secret of Sam (Grace's conversation with Sam)[]

While Grace lay in bed on the night after Sunday she thought about Sam avoiding her and decided to get his phone number from the shop to contact him.[55] When she was about to get his phone number on Monday she decided that she shouldn't.[56] Then she heard that Sam was at the comic store and his voice had changed.[57] After confirming that Sam was transformed Grace asked him if he had a magic mark[58] since she was worried that he might be indebted to Voltaire.[59]

They went outside and Sam told Grace that he avoided her and the comic store because she might notice that he was transformed, and that he had a note from Pandora saying that she gave him the magic mark.[60] Grace told Sam that she knew about Pandora and when she tried to reassure Sam that it was good that it was Pandora she started crying.[61] She explained what happened to Pandora.[62] Grace declared that she would leave Sam alone but Sam said that she wasn't bothering him since she had kept his secret and he had heard about her sheltered upbringing, as she ran out of the classroom crying when she learned about World War 2[63] (less than a year before, in the storyline Squirrel In The Classroom).

Sam asked to talk to Grace about being transgender.[64] He told her that he used to identify as lesbian and didn't want to come out again.[65][66] He said that he didn't want to be the first person whose coming out involves magic.[67] He asked if Sarah knew about magic and Grace answered that Sarah knew about her magic but Sam didn't want to come out to her anyway.[68] Sam said that he was unsure if he wanted to be in a relationship with Sarah and Grace said that he should talk about his feelings with Sarah.[69]

A cloud of smoke who called themself Smoke[70] overheard Sam mention transformation and asked him to show it.[71] Grace offered to show her own transformation instead.[72] When Grace changed into her omega form Smoke was surprised that it was an unfamiliar kind of magic.[73] Smoke left and Grace realized that Smoke was a wizard.[74] Grace transformed back[75] and told Sam that Smoke probably wanted to learn a spell but couldn't learn hers. Sam said he would like to give everyone his spell.[76] Grace told Sam that she was going to report the encounter with Smoke.[77] Sam gave Grace his phone number and Grace told him that Sarah accepted her and she thought it would go well if Sam came out as trans to her but couldn't tell him most of her reasons for thinking so as they were secret.[78]

When Grace told Edward Verres about Smoke he said that wizards, except seers, can't see any difference between spells they can't copy and seyunolu transformations.[79] When she lay in bed Grace realized that it felt good to transform in public and that she hated hiding what she is.[80]

Q&A 8 - The Lord Of The Q&As[]

This Q&A session is set in a fantasy RPG-style dungeon.[81] It is hosted by Amanda and Lisa as usual. In addition to them, Sarah, Diane, Susan and Rhoda are there.

The first question was about Grace's face and figure recognition, which is heightened when her antennae are out (as mentioned in the storyline The Secret of Sam), specifically whether she's feeling people's faces and bodies with her psychic antennae. Amanda answered that Grace's body recognition ability is purely visual. Lisa suggested that Grace could give telekinetic shoulder massage.[82]

The second question was about Tedd's preferred gender pronouns. Amanda answered that Tedd prefers pronouns acknowledging his current form, or male pronouns if his current form is unknown. She also said that other genderfluid people prefer "they" and that Elliot currently prefers male pronouns but may later reconsider pronouns for when he is transformed.[83]

The third question was whether size transformations affect people's voices. Amanda answered that they do but shrink transformations don't change voices as much as much as if they obeyed the laws of physics, or as much as height transformations.[84]

The fourth question was how Tensaided's video rental store can stay in business. This page was set at the rental shop, without Amanda and Lisa, and Tensaided himself answered that video rental stores still exist and EGS takes place in an unknown year in a different universe.[85]

The fifth question was how to tell Sarah and Diane apart. Amanda answered that they have different hair styles, Sarah has a round nose and a round jaw whereas Diane has pointed nose and jaw, and Sarah has more "junk in the trunk" than Diane. Sarah and Diane both took offense at the "junk in the trunk" remarks.[86]

The sixth question was why Voltaire didn't try to have Tedd killed rather than traumatize him in order to prevent him from influencing the decision about the magic change. Lisa and Amanda didn't know but Voltaire showed up to answer that Tedd's parents are too dangerous to him and an upset Tedd could discredit his position. When Amanda and Lisa pointed out that he could have told Tedd that seers would advise the Will of Magic in order to make him ineligible, Voltaire was surprised though he tried to hide it.[87]

The seventh question was whether some characters are in the autistic spectrum. Amanda answered that Dan didn't intentionally write characters in the autistic spectrum but some characters were perceived as such based on traits inspired by himself and that he is not qualified to make the judgement whether he or those characters count as being in the autistic spectrum.[88]

The eighth question was about Dan's research for EGS. Amanda and Lisa answered that he uses research skills taught at school and reads and watches relevant materials. Dan was also shown asking a bird representing social media for help.[89]

The ninth question was about spells that can't be copied by wizards. Amanda answered that some spells, such as Sarah's simulated time stop, can only be copied by wizards with the right magic affinity, and that seers can copy such spells but it would require a special wand.[90]

The tenth question was whether magic that teleports away things worn by a person can remove piercings and implants. Amanda answered that piercings can only be removed by spells specifically designed to remove piercings, and implants can't be removed. Lisa suggested that it would be possible to implant objects that give dangerous magical powers. While they were talking, Sarah tried to transform Amanda back to normal as she, and Lisa, had been transformed during the last few pages so that they had animal ears and tails and large breast and hips, but instead Sarah was transformed in the same way herself, which pleased her.[91]

The eleventh question was why there are so many LGBT+ characters. Amanda questioned if most characters are LGBT+, mentioning Elliot, Susan and Sarah. Lisa pointed out that they are bisexual and Elliot prefers being a girl sometimes. To prove her point Sarah and Diane are shown kissing.[92] Amanda read a letter from Dan answering that gender fluidity and bisexuality feels normal to Dan and he missed LGBT+ characters in the eighties and nineties. The letter also mentioned that Susan may or may not count as asexual.[93]

The twelfth question was about name-based magic affinities (mentioned in the storyline Marker), specifically whether it is possible to intentionally change your name in the hope of getting specific spells. Changing your name to get a name-based affinity generally doesn't work but parents could name a child at birth to give them an affinity and if awakened magic users changed their names for that purpose it could affect what spells they get unless those spells require affinity.[94] After complaints that birth names having magical consequences is offensive to transgender people, a second page with clarifications was added: If a person doesn't accept their birth name it will not give a magic affinity. Both first and last names have to be puns to give a name-based affinity. If someone changes their first name for deeply personal reasons it could give a name-based affinity together with a pre-existing last name.[95]

The last question was about Grace's antennae. Amanda answered that they have a core not made of hair and she doesn't know what the core is made of. Lisa suggested shaving Grace's antennae to find out but Sarah and Rhoda stared her down.[96]

Title Pending[]

Dan plans to rename this storyline Reflections,[97] a title suggested by reader feedback[98] However, he may never have time to change the listed name. The comic page URLs use the word "party" in place of a storyline title

This summary divides the chapter into subchapters which do not reflect how it is listed in the comic website.

Reflections (party invitations)[]

Some time when Ashley read a story (probably written by herself) about a sorceress transforming catcalling construction workers into women, she felt guilty about liking stories like that.[99]

On the Thursday after Elliot and Ashley's second date was interrupted by Magus and Sirleck, they planned a new date but Ashley didn't want to go to Elliot's house again.[100] When Elliot talked to Tedd on Saturday, the day after the date, he realized that Ashley needed friends to talk about magic and decided to throw a party next Saturday.[101]

On Monday at school he told Sarah and Susan about the party but Susan didn't want to talk about magic.[102] After Susan left[103] Sarah told Elliot that Susan felt numb from too many feelings after the vampire attack at the mall[104] (which Susan told her in Sister 3 - Part 26). Elliot told Sarah that they would have the party even if Ashley wouldn't go. Tedd told Elliot and Sarah that her father would be elsewhere for the weekend. Edward would actually stay with Lavender.[105]

When Ellen invited Nanase and Justin, she told Nanase that she and Ashley are "dragon sisters" (as both of the got magic powers from the Dewitchery Diamond, whose core is a scale from a large animal that they call a dragon, as revealed in Sister 3 - Part 25). Justin planned to receive the pizza delivery in female form.[106] Nanase said that she hoped that the party would help her get over her suspicion of Ashley (preciously mentioned in So A Date At The Mall), and Justin pointed out that Grace and Elliot are much like Ashley.[107]

Liz was worried about Ashley's feelings but Ashley couldn't tell her about her secrets.[108] When Elliot invited Ashley to the party she asked him why they threw a party; he told her that the original idea was that she would get to know other magic users[109] but emphasized that it wasn't the sole purpose of the party. Ashley realized that he wanted to avoid pressuring her. She was happy to go to the party.[110]

Reflections (after the invitations and before the party)[]

On Tuesday Sarah told Grace that it felt weird that Elliot took the initiative by throwing a party for Ashley. When Sarah mentioned her hope for romance with Sam Grace, who recalled that Sam has told her that he was unsure if he wanted that kind of relationship with Sarah (in the storyline The Secret of Sam) asked when their next date would be.[111] Tedd asked if Grace had told Sarah about her encounter with Smoke, and Grace told her but withheld Sam's name.[112][113] Sarah complimented Grace about keeping secrets and Grace hugged Sarah so that they fell off their couch just before Elliot entered the room.[114]

At school, probably on Wednesday, Justin told Nanase that he and Luke were unsure what to do for their first date and Diane suggested bowling.[115] Justin was disturbed by her resemblance to Susan.[116]

When Ashley saw Sarah she wondered what magic she had and fantasized about Sarah turning her into a humanoid mouse.[117] When a man rudely bumped into her she fantasized about using magic for revenge and felt ashamed since she would eventually be able to do magic.[118] Ashley asked Liz if her fantasies were evil and Liz tried to reassure her that her fantasies were harmless and she shouldn't be ashamed of them.[119][120]

When Grace met Rhoda she was tempted to tell her that she is an alien hybrid with transformation powers, hoping that Rhoda would tell her about her own and Catalina's magic, and invite Rhoda, Catalina, Diane and Lucy to the party[121] but decided not to tell her anything because she might be wrong about Rhoda's magic, because Edward and the government would learn about Rhoda, because her friends had secrets that weren't hers to tell, because Arthur could take away Tedd's lab for revealing secrets and especially because Rhoda's reaction to learning that Grace is part alien could be hostile.[122]

Susan had an internal debate about whether to go to the party.[123] Sarah told Tedd that she was worried about Susan's reaction if Sarah showed a curvy transformation.[124]

After Ashley told Liz about the party, Liz asked Sarah and Susan about Elliot and watched his review show, which convinced her that Elliot is a good guy. On Friday she demanded to talk to him.[125] She told Elliot that she was concerned about the safety of the party and that she knew that he is Cheerleadra.[126] Elliot tried to convince Liz that he wasn't Cheerleadra but she didn't believe him.[127] Elliot instead reassured her that the party would be safe, as the house where the party would be belonged to someone in law enforcement and five of the guests were martial artists.[128] When Liz brought up corrupt law enforcement Elliot didn't know what she was talking about and Liz found his reaction shockingly naive.[129] Liz told Elliot that she met Ashley when she was trying to quit smoking, that Ashley asked her if she was well when she was angry from withdrawal, and that Ashley offered to help her quit smoking.[130] Liz said that it was stupid to approach a potentially dangerous stranger that way but Elliot was impressed by Ashley's selflessness.[131] Before leaving Liz asked Elliot to research police misconduct. What Elliot learned made him so angry that he went to the school nurse's office.[132]

Title Pending 2 - Even More Pending[]

This summary divides the chapter into subchapters which do not reflect how it is listed in the comic website.

Reflections (arrivals at the party)[]

On the day of the party (a Saturday) Grace was worried about what Ashley would be like[133] and annoyed that Edward asked her to keep uryuoms secret until later.[134] When Sarah arrived Grace worried about her relationship with Sam but Sarah was happy about the date they had been on[135] and said that it was a real date.[136]

When Elliot and Ellen picked up Ashley, Ellen called her "dragon sister" but then noted the awkward implications.[137] Ashley told Elliot and Ellen that she had been to parties where others drank too much and Elliot told her that there was no alcohol at this party and was surprised that Ashley's former friends had access to alcohol.[138] When they arrived at Tedd's house, Elliot told Ashley that Tedd is genderfluid and was likely in a female form and Ellen told her that all of the friends except herself changed sexes for Grace's birthday party. Elliot explained that Tedd has magic technology for transformation.[139]

Nanase told Grace that she was baffled that Ashley didn't ask her any questions about magic and Grace suggested that Ashley was used to secrecy from stories.[140] Then Nanase showed her new ability to change her fairy doll's clothes. Grace questioned why she wore skimpy clothing and Nanase explained that she thought sexy clothing is cool.[141]

Sarah asked Justin about his date with Luke. Justin noted that she was being rude but was willing to tell her.[140] He told her that they had a bowling date and their lane was beside Diane's.[142] He also told her that Diane's uncanny resemblance to Susan was disturbing and Sarah, going by the description of Diane, felt the same.[143] Meanwhile, Susan, talking elsewhere with Diane, was baffled by how suddenly Diane had entered into her relationship with Lucy.[144]

When Ashley entered Tedd's house she was shocked when she saw Jeremy.[145] Then she tried to pet Jeremy but the cat with hedgehog spines fled.[146]

Reflections (Ashley's introduction)[]

When Ashley met the other party guests she didn't recognize Nanase.[147] Nanase explained that she had stopped transforming her hair.[148] When Ashley asked why she kept it transformed Nanase explained that did it to hide her hair color change when her magic burnout ended. She expressed her approval of Ashley asking questions.[149] Ashley asked if mysterious hair colors are caused by magic. Since Grace hadn't learned about mysterious hair colors at school Nanase explained that some have genetically unexplainable hair and eye colors. Tedd told Ashley that it's likely that mysterious hair colors have something to do with magic but that she didn't see any direct connection.[150]

Ashley asked Justin and Grace about their work at Salty Crackers Comics. Ashley told them that she used to do soccer and ballet and Justin suggested that she should invent a martial art based on soccer and ballet.[151] Ashley brought up Justin's fight against the fire monster (New And Old Flames) and asked if he had super strength; Justin answered that he probably had an anime-style martial arts power boosting his attacks. Ashley compared anime martial arts to Ranma ½[152] but Nanase said that it's more like Dragon Ball. Ashley asked if all of the others were martial artists; Sarah and Tedd answered that they were not and Grace answered that she was.[153] Ashley asked about her abilities and Grace answered that she transforms herself. Ashley asked if Grace turned into a bird to fly while looking for her, Elliot and Ellen (mentioned in Sister 3 - Part 25)[154] Grace said that she wished that she could turn into a bird like in The Sword in the Stone and she and Ashley bonded over that movie and especially a scene with squirrels.[155] Grace told Ashley that she can transform into a squirrel because she is an alien-alien-human-squirrel hybrid and offered to show Ashley her transformation.[156]

When Diane saw that Rhea, Rick and Elijah were at the video rental store she disguised herself with a wig and a pair of sunglasses and hid.[157] When she told Susan that Rhea is her sister Susan understood that Diane hid because it was hard to explain how she was related to Susan. Susan also asked if Diane kept her relationship with Lucy secret and was surprised to learn that she had told her family because she usually doesn't keep secrets from them. Susan also mentioned that she hadn't talked to her friends about the events at the mall.[158] Diane said that she should tell her friends since they already knew about magic and when Susan mentioned the party Diane declared that they should go to the party together.[159] Susan objected that her friends were supposed to talk about magic at the party but Diane pointed out that she already knew some things about Susan's friends and Susan's latest secret was her secret too.[160]

When Grace showed her squirrel form to Ashley, her clothes shrank to fit her.[161] After changing back to normal Grace told Ashley that she thought she would shrink out of her clothes.[162] Ashley was impressed that she seemed to be too confident to be bothered by nudity[163] and let slip that she had fantasized about shrinking out of her clothes and Grace, acting confident to make Ashley feel better, said that fantasies about embarrassment make sense.[164][165]

Meanwhile, Sarah and Justin talked about Sarah's time stop spell.[162][166] Then Nanase showed her fairy doll with skimpy clothes to Ashley and offered to let Ashley hold the doll.[166]

While Tedd was showing Elliot a list of spell incantations in likely-incorrect Latin, Susan sent a text message to Tedd asking if she could bring Diane to the party, which made Tedd scared.[167] When Grace realized that Diane probably recognized her when she saw her three-tailed form (in Family Tree) she became very enthusiastic.[168] Sarah and Justin were nervous about meeting Diane because of her uncanny resemblance to Susan but decided that wasn't a good reason to say no to Susan and the other guests had no objections to inviting Diane. A miserable Tedd said that she had to change before Diane and Susan arrived.[169] Elliot hugged Tedd and reassured her that he accepted her as she is and Tedd decided not to change.[170] Grace declared that she should have realized that Tedd would be uncomfortable with being a woman with strangers. Ashley asked why Tedd was't uncomfortable with her and Elliot explained Tedd knew that she likes sex change transformations. Nanase, Ellen, Sarah and Justin said that they like sex changes too.[171]

On the way to the party Diane asked why there was a party and Susan told her that it was for Ashley to get to know people who know about magic. She also mentioned that Ashley, Elliot and Ellen were kidnapped by a vampire and an alternate of Elliot (in Sister 3, parts 21 and 24) and that she had avoided asking questions about the details because she didn't want to talk about her own experiences.[172]

Elliot asked Ashley what she thought about his friends and she said that she loved Grace but didn't want to date her since she was hetero-romantic. She also said she thought that Nanase had hit on her.[173] Elliot thought Nanase was probably trying too hard to be friendly or to impress Ashley. Meanwhile, Nanase thought about how to impress Ashley.[174]

Title Pending 3 - Untitled Party[]

This summary divides the chapter into subchapters which do not reflect how it is listed in the comic website, as it is very long.

Reflections (the drumstick wand)[]

While they were waiting for Diane and Susan, Grace asked Tedd how she felt and Tedd answered that she was fairly comfortable with being female but meeting Diane was still scary.[175] When Diane and Susan arrived, Diane noticed that Tedd was in a female form but didn't comment on it[176] so Tedd hoped that Diane thought she is always a girl.[177]

When Susan and Diane met the other party guests they were greeted with a Cheers reference. Justin and Sarah were again weirded out by their resemblance.[178] Susan declared that she wasn't ready to tell the others how she is related to Diane.[179]

When Tedd joined them she donned a pair of glasses and gave Diane a wand made from a drumstick.[180] Diane tried to ask about the wand but the other guests kept interrupting her to talk about Tedd's new glasses instead.[181] After they'd finished talking about the glasses Tedd explained that for safety reasons the wand could only cast spells on someone touching the tip of the wand and required saying a phase in internet-translated Latin.[182] Elliot and Justin brought in a door with a mirror.[183]

Tedd suggested starting with a spell to change hair color. Diane wanted to cast it on someone else and Ashley volunteered.[183] After Diane made Ashley blonde with the hair color spell[184] Diane asked who wanted to use the wand next and Sarah took the wand.[185] After fantasizing about Sarah making her doll-sized[186] and a fairy Cheerleadra taking the wand to shrink Sarah even smaller, Ashley asked if the wand had a shrink spell.[187] Tedd said that there was a shrink spell and Ashley asked Sarah to use it.[188] When Sarah shrunk Ashley, the doorknob on the mirror door made a click and Tedd was surprised that she became smaller than she thought the wand could do.[189] Tedd concluded that the wand could shrink people smaller than expected because it wasn't made with the glove, which had the size limit that Tedd was used to from the transformation guns. Diane quickly understood what Tedd meant and Ellen joked about feeling intimidated by being surrounded by smart people.[190]

Ashley felt scared by being surrounded by bigger people so Grace shrank to the same size and took Ashley aside.[191] Grace shrank further to make Ashley feel better[192] and grew a tail.[193] The transformation made Grace tired and hungry.[194]

Sarah tested the growth spell and it only made her as large as the old limit.[194] Tedd was angry because the growing could have been dangerous but Ellen, Nanase, Justin and Diane approved of the test.[195] Tedd explained to Diane that she had to analyze the spell with her seer sight. When Sarah stood up to show her new size clearly Susan wanted to hug her[196] and Diane asked Sarah for a hug.[197]

Susan walked away when Diane hugged Sarah.[197] Nanase asked her how she felt and Susan answered that Diane made her feel like a waste of space by being just as smart as her and more sociable.[198] Nanase reassured her that Diane's ability to make people like her is superficial and realized something about herself.[199] Sarah sent Diane to tell Susan that Sarah offered to hug her.[200] After hugging Sarah, Susan thought about getting therapy but concluded that she would rather talk to Grace.[201]

Reflections (Elliot turns girly)[]

Elliot said that he wanted to be shrunk to apologize to Ashley.[202] Elliot changed into a short, busty, long-haired female form.[203] Tedd was overwhelmed by how casually Elliot transformed.[204] When Elliot asked Tedd if the form could be combined with shrinking, Tedd answered that stacking many transformations could result in the clothes changing back before the wearer but that isn't an issue with two enchantments and someone with as much magic energy as Elliot. Elliot asked how Tedd found out this and Sarah tried to shrink him from behind to distract him but the shrinking failed.[205] Tedd explained that the wand was out of energy and recharged it.[206]

Nanase said that Elliot should shrink Sarah as punishment for trying to shrink Elliot from behind. Elliot was opposed to the idea but Sarah agreed with Nanase and added that Elliot should cast another spell on her.[207] Elliot asked Sarah what other spell to use and Sarah asked for female variant number five. Tedd said that she hadn't added any sexy transformations to the wand to avoid making the guests uncomfortable. Diane and Ashley said that they were interested in sexy transformations and Susan said that she had no objections to such transformations.[208] Elliot chose to make Sarah shorter instead of waiting for Tedd to add more spells to the wand.[209] After transforming Sarah, Elliot asked Tedd to shrink him.[210] Diane fantasized about changing Nanase and Justin into busty female forms similar to Elliot's[211] and shrinking Nanase to stop her from retaliating.[212]

Reflections (Grace's wardrobe malfunction)[]

When Elliot and Sarah joined Ashley and Grace, Sarah and Grace told Ashley about change blindness and Grace made her breasts big to show how she would play with change blindness. Then Grace's clothes changed back to their normal size.[213] Grace jumped out of her clothes and grew to her normal size, oblivious to the party guests' reactions to seeing her naked, as she realized that she had been using human magic to transform her clothes, explaining why they grew back and why she became tired and hungry, and Tedd, equally unconcerned by Grace's nudity, deduced that Grace had been consuming the ambient energy.[214] She tested the wand by growing larger.[215] Diane said that she had questions but wouldn't ask them to avoid nerdy discussions that would be inappropriate for a party. Grace unsuccessfully tried to use the wand's undo spell and concluded that she was not enchanted by the wand.[216] Grace was offering to explain her history when her tiredness caught up with her.[217] Elliot and Ashley decided to change back to their normal sizes. Sarah wanted to remain shrunk as punishment for trying to shrink Elliot from behind but Elliot convinced her that she was punished enough by Elliot realizing that she had clothes transform back before her.[218]

Reflections (what is a nerd?)[]

Justin told Diane that she was being insulting to nerds and Diane said that there were no nerds at the party.[219] Ellen asked Diane what she meant by nerd and Diane answered that nerds don't care about people and look down on anyone who doesn't know what they know.[220] Diane asked what the others mean by "nerd" and Justin answered that nerds have non-mainstream interests like video games and Diane objected that video games are mainstream.[221] Nanase suggested that being a nerd is about hyperfocus and Diane said that hyperfocus is a symptom of ADHD, which Tedd found interesting.[222] Ellen suggested that nerdiness is about making references to their favorite stories.[223]

Elliot mentioned Ashley's views on labels, which made Ashley embarrassed.[223] When Ashley had recovered she explained that she dislikes labels used for other people but understands using them for a sense of community.[224] Diane apologized to Justin.[225] Diane talked about her experiences of mansplaining and Justin said that he had similar experiences, despite being a man, since he works in a comic shop.[226] Diane told Ashley to speak up when she had something to say.[227] This annoyed Ashley but she didn't say anything since she recognized that Diane was trying to be nice.[228]

Reflections (Justin's girly morph and the pizza delivery)[]

Grace told Tedd that she wanted pizza.[228] Justin asked for help designing a female form to answer the door for the pizza delivery. Diane asked if he is genderfluid like Elliot and Elliot said that he was actually gender casual. Justin answered that he isn't genderfluid but wanted to be seen by straight men[229] and explained that he wished he could more often feel attractive to men. Diane and Tedd offered to help him.[230]

Ellen suggested to Nanase that they should design a transformation party game. Nanase told her that she had realized that her distrust towards Ashley was because Ashley wasn't impressed enough by her to ask questions and concluded that she had as bad an ego as Diane. Ellen disagreed, saying that Diane's sense of ego is something to learn from[231] and that it makes sense for Nanase to expect people to be impressed by her. Then they talked about how to be friendly to Ashley to make up for her previous distrust.[232] Grace said to Sarah and Ashley that she wanted to order an extra large pizza and eat it by herself. Ashley suggested that she should drink a glass of water to be less hungry while ordering the pizza. Nanase, seeing an opportunity to be on Ashley's side, praised her suggestion in an over-the-top manner.[233]

Diane said to Justin that he should act a bit flirty as it isn't the same as truly flirting but Justin said that many men don't know the difference. Diane complained about school not teaching what isn't flirting.[234] Diane and Tedd said that Justin should have big breasts to draw men's attention and casual clothing to avoid being obvious about it.[235]

Susan asked Elliot about being gender casual and Elliot explained that the possibility of magic change made him realize that he would miss the ability to transform but had no strong preference for being male or female most of the time. Susan said that this sounds like being agender and that she would miss her fairies.[235] Elliot realized that Susan didn't know that there was no longer any danger of magic changing (as Tedd persuaded magic to make a minor change instead in Sister 3, part 23) and that it was related to the events (Sister 3, part 22) that caused her to isolate herself. Susan asked why Elliot was nervous.[236] Elliot explained that magic was no longer in danger of changing, that Tedd could explain it better and that it was connected to that night, which convinced Susan that she didn't want to think about it.[237]

Diane, Tedd and Ellen gave Justin contradictory suggestions for designing his female form.[238] Tedd offered to design a spell for customizable transformation and asked Elliot to show her his spell. Elliot asked for a wand of the spell that Tedd was going to design[239] because it's hard to stay the same height with Elliot's own spell. Tedd offered to design a form for that purpose.[240] When they talked about designing that form they stammered awkwardly, which gave Diane the impression of attraction and made Ashley and Grace want them to hug, though Sarah looked downcast.[241]

When Tedd and Elliot went aside to design the spell Sarah joined them to apologize for her past reactions to gender transformations.[242] Tedd and Elliot said that her past reactions were understandable but Sarah insisted that they were unjustifiable.[243] When Sarah and Elliot were arguing about her reactions to Elliot's transforming (as Sarah mentioned in Hammerchlorians, the thought of Elliot turning female made her less attracted to him at a time when they were dating) Sarah said "So what if my boyfriend isn't male all the time". Grace overheard them and noticed her wording[244] and suspected that Sarah knew that Sam is trans. Sarah actually only suspected it, because of Grace's and Sam's behavior.[245]

When Justin was about to transform, Sarah questioned if they should refer to "male and "female" as such. Susan suggested "masculine" and "feminine" and Tedd agreed that it works.[246] After Justin tried out forms and settled on one[247] he decided to scan the form. Elliot turned male and was impressed by Justin's form.[248] Justin felt attracted to Elliot but then remembered that he already had Luke. When the pizza delivery arrived Justin decided to let Grace answer the door[249] because Elliot had given him the appreciative look he wanted. Grace ran to the door.[250]

The pizza delivery girl, Jay, was shocked to see Grace,[250] asked about Tedd and mentioned that she recognized Grace from school.[251] Diane joined Grace at the door to flee from her awkward attraction to Justin.[252] Jay was disappointed that she didn't meet Tedd but only two magic users the she had already met and it was revealed that she is Smoke.[253]

Many years ago the owner of the mirror door was annoyed by the door malfunctioning and hid it in the basement.[254]

Justin asked Tedd if it is objectionable to use feminine forms to try out hairstyles as he identifies as a man. Tedd had no objections.[255]

When Grace brought in the pizzas she told the others that the pizza delivery girl goes to her school. Diane described her as "that girl with the mohawk ponytail situation" and Justin recognized the description as someone he called "pony-hair girl" and said that he would have liked to compliment her hairstyle. Grace, who likes the pony hairstyle too, was surprised to hear that she had just met her as she didn't recognize her. Diane asked if Grace had a cover story for her breast size as Jay is a gossip[256] and Grace said that the best way to deal with such rumors would be to ignore them. Nanase said that the pizza girl's name is Jill and, when Grace told her that the pizza girl called herself Jay, compared her to Susan[257] (as Susan is actually named Tiffany but goes by her middle name, as revealed in Lunchtable Revelations).

Reflections (Tedd's magic exposition)[]

The group watched The Sword in the Stone while they were eating. After the movie was over, Ashley mentioned her wizard training and Tedd mentioned that her teacher would be a talking wand named Kevin[258] (as was previously mentioned in Sister 3, Part 25). Susan and Justin expressed their surprise to learn about Kevin, and Justin said that he thought Tedd would teach her. When Tedd said that she is a special kind of wizard she mentioned that Ashley was made a wizard by a dragon. Justin asked about the dragon[259] and Ellen told him about the core of the dewitchery diamond and mentioned the magic change. When Diane asked about the magic change Tedd explained how she talked the will of magic out of making a severe change and that it made minor changes instead[260] (in Sister 3, Part 23). Diane expressed her displeasure with Tedd persuading magic to allow many people to use magic[261] and Tedd explained that severe change would involve a thousand people learning about magic.[262]

Tedd then told Diane that she had been given a lab at the university[263] and the group talked about the fact that all of them will go to the same university[264] and the lab.[265] Meanwhile Arthur offered to help Dr. Germahn find a way to give people magic resistance.[266] Tedd told Diane that she would research magic resistance and mentioned that she has a hypothesis that prenatal exposure to magic due to the mother having magic during pregnancy is more important to innate magic ability than genetic inheritance.[267]

Sarah and Grace suggested that Tedd tell Diane her long-term goal and Tedd said that she wanted to make it safe to give magic to everyone. Diane called that "the worst idea I've ever heard",[268] which shocked most of the others.[269] Tedd said that magic resistance would make it safer but Diane pointed out that resistance wouldn't help against some kinds of dangerous magic.[270] Tedd replied that magic can also do much good.[271] Justin said that ignorance makes people vulnerable to scams.[272]

Reflections (Liz, Rhoda and Catalina)[]

Nanase said that keeping secrets is isolating, which made Ashley cry.[273] Ashley explained that she and her friend Liz were drifting apart because she couldn't talk to her about magic. Elliot told her that Liz knows that he is Cheerleadra and that she should talk to her about magic.[274] He told her of when he talked to Liz and what he learned about police.[275] Grace suggested telling Rhoda and Catalina about magic, which Diane was against[276] because she didn't want to drag them into danger. Tedd was reluctant to tell them and Grace pointed out that her dreams said that Rhoda and Catalina had magic[277] (which she started remembering in Squirrel Prophet).

Justin pointed out that the dreams said that he has a magic mark and he didn't but Tedd told him that they suspected that he had awakened. Nanase asked if the magic analysis wand could test him and Tedd explained that her father probably destroyed it after he learned that Tedd is a seer.[278] Diane asked why he would do that and Tedd explained that she resisted the wand as a baby because its noise scared her (as Pandora explained to Tedd in Sister 3, Part 17) and that her apparent lack of magic potential likely caused her parents' divorce[279] (Tedd's mother's disappointment was shown in the storyline Hair After hugging Tedd Diane said that she could understand why Tedd wanted to give everyone magic and said that Tedd's belief that magic for everyone is good is an unconfirmed hypothesis.[280] Tedd then suggested that her father could test if Justin has awakened by giving him a spellbook, but Justin didn't want him to know because he didn't want it to be on file.[281]

Susan said that she wanted to talk to Catalina so no one would take advantage of her ignorance like when immortals made Susan and Nanase kill a vampire.[282] She planned to joke about catgirl magic to see how Catalina would react and Justin suggested asking Luke to find out during the next Magickal Gatherings tournament and talking to them on Saturday. Tedd talked about copying Luke's spell to a wand.[283] Grace was excited to tell Rhoda and Catalina her secrets and realized how little she knew about uryuoms.[284] Diane insisted on being the one to tell Rhoda about magic if they confirmed it and said that Rhoda would have told her if she had magic.[285]

Reflections (the mirror door)[]

The mirror door made a flash of light[285]and transformed most of the people at the party. Diane was unchanged except for her ears momentarily appearing pointed.[286]

Title Pending 5 or 6[]

This summary divides the chapter into subchapters which do not reflect how it is listed in the comic website, as it is long.

Reflections (the mirror door)[]

Justin asked the others to say who they were and they told each other who they looked like. Justin had been transformed into Nanase with orange hair, Sarah had been transformed into Elliot's short and busty female form, Ashley had changed into Elliot's standard (blonde) female form, Elliot looked like a blonde Ashley, Ellen had turned into a large Sarah, Nanase had been transformed into a large Grace and complained that it felt weird, Grace looked like Tedd's current female form, complete with Tedd's poor eyesight,[287] Susan looked like the female form that Justin had previously tried out, and Tedd and Diane were unchanged. Tedd concluded that her mother made the mirror door and ranted angrily about her.[288] Diane asked Tedd if the transformations could be undone[289] and Tedd said that it might be hard and she would have to analyze the mirror further.[290] Grace wrote name tags to keep track of who was who. Ashley and Sarah wanted to look at their new forms in a mirror[291] so they went upstairs along with Elliot and Grace.[292]

Nanase felt uncomfortable with her size and Justin suggested that it had something to do with Grace's antenna senses.[292] Ellen tested that hypothesis by having Nanase say where Ellen held her hand while Nanase closed her eyes. Tedd told them to do the test more times.[293] After they finished the tests Tedd concluded that Nanase likely had Grace's senses but they didn't know why.[294]

Sarah and Grace stayed outside the room with the mirror to give Ashley and Elliot privacy. Grace talked about kissing while looking like Tedd and Elliot.[295] Then Grace asked Sarah how she felt about being in the Elliot form and Sarah answered that, while she liked fantasizing about being in a curvaceous form in public, she also wanted to be tall and to look like herself. She mentioned that she was dating Sam[296] and Grace asked her about her relationship with Sam and took a moment to imagine herself and Sarah looking like themselves as it felt weird to talk about Sam while Sarah looked like Elliot.[297] Sarah answered that she had suggested to Sam that they kiss to see how he felt and he decided that he wanted to date her.[298] Grace thought about how Sarah accepted her when she saw Grace's half-squirrel form[299] (in the storyline Shade).

Justin and Susan talked about how having nothing to say made Susan feel and about whether Diane needed emotional support.[300]

In front of the mirror upstairs Ashley made faces and Elliot stood stiffly to avoid touching 'Ashley's' body (Elliot's own body in the transformed form).[301] Ashley complained that taking it seriously reminded her that it was a scary situation and asked Elliot to make poses to distract her.[302] Elliot at first humored her but then talked about having considered breaking up with Ashley because she keeps getting into dangerous situations while they are together.[303] Ashley pointed out that those situations were not Elliot's fault, that the previous events turned out better because she was there and that she still wanted to date Elliot.[304] Elliot, reassured, said that the party was supposed to make Ashley feel better. Ashley said that she was happy because she realized that she had saved Elliot and because she was going to tell Liz about magic. She was also able to appreciate their transformations as they would be reversed. They kissed.[305]

Reflections (Tedd fixes the mirror door)[]

Diane told Susan that she might have to tell Tedd that her father is an elf, since she suspected that she resisted the magic from the mirror for that reason but realized that she didn't need to tell Tedd as the resistance could also have been inherited from her unknown mother.[306]

When Diane talked to Tedd she was testing a function of the mirror that showed people's unenchanted forms. It showed Tedd in a feminine form with short hair and different clothes.[307] Diane was surprised and, when she tried to hide her surprise, Tedd saw her using a spell.[308] Tedd instructed Diane to tell lies in order to make her cast her spell. When Tedd said that Diane thought Tedd's default form is male, Diane first used her spell when denying it and then admitted that she thought so, partly because Tedd had referred to herself as "son".[309] Tedd told Diane that she is genderfluid and has a spell that can change her default form, which Diane found astonishing.[310]

The Tedd said that Diane has a charisma boost spell for being more convincing.[310] Diane found the spell creepy as it sounded like mind control but Tedd said that it only targets herself.[311] Diane told Tedd how she convinced the other students that she is a virgin[312] (in The Legend of Diane). Tedd asked how she convinced them and Diane told her that two men accused each other of lying. Tedd reassured her that she was just lucky.[313] Diane said that she had to learn not to use the spell and tell everyone about it. Justin, Nanase and Ellen said that they had already overheard their conversation.[314]

Then Diane asked why she had that spell and Tedd told her that an immortal (Pandora) used to give magic marks without telling anyone. When Tedd asked why Diane approached her in the first place, Diane told her about her possible inherited resistance and also said that she noticed a taste of pancakes when the others were transformed.[314] Tedd recalled that Grace had told her that Adrian Raven can taste magic with his ears,[315] and asked Diane if she had pointy ears but Diane's ears were no longer pointy. Then Tedd told Diane that she knew about a half-immortal who tastes magic with his ears and Diane left.[316]

Then Diane told Susan that they might have to tell the others about her father because of what she had learned.[317] Susan asked Diane if she really wanted to tell Tedd about her biological father and Diane said that she might need to know some things about being descended from an immortal. Susan suggested talking about it with her dad and Diane objected to calling him dad.[318] Susan told Diane about her own father's infidelity and pointed out that Raven had thought he couldn't have children, but Diane didn't want to forgive him.[319]

Meanwhile, Tedd analyzed the mirror.[317] She went upstairs and came back with a bundle of chopsticks.[320] She hammered the chopsticks into the mirror door and explained to Diane that they were intended to discharge excess magic from the door.[321] Tedd then told Susan and Diane that she had an idea for undoing the transformations, showed them that the mirror door stored both forms that people had transformed into in front of it and their forms before transforming[322] and told Susan that she was looking for a Grace form that she would use to test a spell intended to undo transformations from the mirror.[323] Susan asked if the mirror door can use the caster's magic energy and Tedd answered that it can't. Tedd speculated that her mother used the mirror door to do her makeup and Diane asked if she could make makeup wands.[324] Then Tedd found the Grace form stored in the mirror door and transformed into it.[325]

Elliot and Ashley talked about how they stopped kissing before they went too far. Elliot changed the subject to Ashley's transformation stories, which made Ashley even more embarrassed.[326] Ashley told Elliot about her stories about transformation as punishment. Elliot said that it's a better way to deal with anger than punching people, which Elliot sometimes wants to do.[327] Ashley said that it's understandable.[328] They argued whose way of dealing with anger is morally questionable.[329] Then they agreed that they were too hard on themselves as they don't really want to hurt or transform people they are angry with.[330]

After Tedd tested her undoing spell[331] Susan used it to transform back to normal. Then Tedd told the others to go upstairs while she would test if the pressure release chopsticks work by transforming back and forth.[332]

Reflections (Noriko's scars)[]

After the others left, Tedd thought about Pandora saying that her mother left to protect her (in Sister 3, Part 17) but didn't believe that since her mother was careless enough to leave the mirror door behind.[333] She ranted about her mother while transforming and looking for her mother among the stored forms until she screamed in surprise[334] as she saw that her mother's face was badly scarred with one eye blinded.[335] Elliot and Grace, who were worried about Tedd's scream, went back to the basement[335] followed by the others[336] and asked what happened.[337] When Tedd explained that her mother used it to hide her scars she speculated that it could restore the eyesight of the damaged eye and noted that as a reason to give magic to everyone.[338] She said that she needed a distraction.[336]

Reflections (Diane, Susan and the Ravens)[]

Susan gave Diane a look and Diane told the others that Raven is her father[336] and Susan told them that she is descended from him. Ashley was confused as she hadn't heard about Raven but didn't say anything as she didn't want to interrupt the conversation. Tedd said that Raven is her godfather[339] and explained how his mother, Pandora, had told her that. She mentioned the events at the mall (Sister 3, Part 22) and Diane confirmed that she and Susan were there and that Pandora told them how there are related. Tedd told them that Pandora would be back with with genuine memories of them.[340] Susan mentioned Zeus as an example of what normally happens to reset immortals.[340][341] Grace said that Raven had told her that half-immortals can't have children.[342] Sarah told the others that she knew Pandora and had visited her son (in Sister 3, Part 26), who told her that he had learned that he has a daughter.[342][343] Diane said that she already had a family[344] and she didn't want to hurt them and couldn't explain to them how she learned about her biological father.[345][346]

Then Diane asked Susan if she needed to talk about anything. Susan mentioned that she killed a vampire[347] and said that it felt better now that she wasn't keeping it to herself. Nanase became upset about her failure to kill the vampire in France making Susan need to kill that vampire[348] and Susan comforted her, saying that Nanase shouldn't have had to kill the vampire either,[349] which made Ashley impressed by both of them.[350]

Reflections (shrinking to eat cake)[]

Then Grace suggested that they eat cake while shrunk to half their normal height.[351] After Ashley shrunk the others[352] she hesitated to shrink herself since she would like to be larger than the others, so Elliot suggested that she first shrink to eat the cake and then enlarge herself even larger than normal while the others were still shrunk.[353] Then Nanase inhabited her fairy doll, Ashley shrunk herself and Grace turned into a tiny squirrel-girl, even smaller than the others.[354] As they realized that the tables were too high for their size, they decided to eat the cake at normal size after all. After eating the cake, the group played with magic, including Elliot's now-painless cat transformation spell.[355] Later during the party Tedd (who had turned masculine) told Grace that he was now more willing to forgive his mother.[356]

The next day (a Sunday), when Tedd told his father about the mirror and his mother's scars, Edward told Tedd that he didn't know about the scars and she must have been hiding them since before Tedd was born. Tedd considered the implications of his mother being enchanted during her pregnancy.[357] When Arthur read Edward's report on how Tedd handled the mirror, he noted to Sybil that Tedd was even more capable than he previously thought and they talked about Tedd's future at the university and mentioned that Arthur's granddaughter, Jay, would go to the university too.[358]
