Fourth Wall Not Broken?[]
It says in this article that in the Main Universe, the Fourth Wall is never broken except in the introductory story-line.
However - this statement completely ignores the activites of the two characters Matt and Ratt - who though their role in the comic is fairly early in the comic's history, it isn't quite as early as the introductory storyline --- and they are entirely about breaking the fourth wall.
A separate question not discussed in this topic is ---- where do the Question Answer segments take place? Are they in the main universe?

- I believe that the retroactive commentaries express that the panels featuring Matt and Rat are not canon, take EGS Main Story Comic for 2002-06-02 ("Hm? Say That Again?")'s commentary on the linked comic for example. -- HarJIT (talk) 15:29, May 27, 2016 (UTC)
- Regarding Matt and Rat, as HarJIT said, not canon. Also, while later than the introductory story-line, it was still pretty early in the comics. Still, they should be mentioned on Retcons and here with the note they were retconed linking to retcons ...
- Regarding Q&A, this is actually addressed a bit in Canon. Personally, I see the canonical status being higher level than different universes. Note that the link to Canon SHOULD be added to this article, preferable with some explanation, and multiple sides of universe should be mentioned on the Main Universe page. Still, to answer the question, the Q&A is happening in Dan's universe - article actually mentions Germahn Labs, which mentions Q&A happening there ... so, while there are things which could be done better (and with more links), I see no serious problem here ... Germahn Labs[]
I've recently edited the Germahn Labs page to reflect that Germahn himself and Amanda are canon main universe characters, and Alice, Lisa and Chika have appeared (with Amanda) in Moperville though not in continuity. So I have treated them as Main Universe inhabitants who just happen to have appeared a lot out of continuity and little or none (depending on the character) in canon. As other Main Universe inhabitants can also appear out of continuity.
So I feel an edit to this page coming on to remove the Germahn Labs characters from the listing of Dan's Universe inhabitants.Gympol (talk) 10:00, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Backstage universe[]
I might consider listing the 'backstage' or 'cameras not rolling' universe separately. As in using backgrounds from Moperville, plus non-canon spaces like the chat show studio and the bar/cafeteria from the first Guest Comics intro, but with the cast acting like they know they're performers in a scripted story.
