Pizza is the forty eighth storyline in EGS:NP. It started with the EGS:NP Comic for 2019-06-24 and ended with the EGS:NP Comic for 2019-07-12.
It's about pizza, although it seems that pizza is supposed to be allegory of something ...
Summary[]
In the beginning of the storyline Kitty complained to Dan about the script. Dan acknowledged that the roles of the story don't perfectly fit the characters cast in them and explained that Kitty was cast for her demanding presence.[1]
Kitty's character ranted about her dislike of pizza at a pizza place. When the owner of the pizza place, Mr. Largepizza (played by Mr. Tensaided) told her to leave, she complained about "free speech" and "communism".[2] Largepizza's employee Bridgette (played by Ashley in a hammy manner) insisted on talking to the rude woman to hear what she was thinking and to change her mind.[3] Kitty's character said that Bridgette had made up her mind and Bridgette admitted that she was unlikely to change her mind and mentioned that she knew much about pizza. Kitty's character said "Pizza is literal trash" and Bridgette complained about her misuse of the word "literal".[4] Another customer (played by George, who, according to the commentary, made little acting effort) said that he also disliked pizza and was frustared by his friends having pizza at parties, which Bridgette could understand, but wouldn't go to a pizza place to trash-talk it.[5]
Then Bridgette asked Kitty's character if people had pushed pizza on her and Kitty's character admitted that she had never eaten pizza.[6] Largepizza offered her a free sample of pizza and she turned out to like it.[7]
After the end of the play Ashley wondered what the story represented and noted that the ending doesn't make sense for allegories.[8] When she asked Dan he insisted that it was just about pizza.[9]
