Transcript[]
Noah | Where did you get this pendant, Dex? |
Dex | I was still wearing that? |
Noah | You forgot it was under there? |
Dex | (voice-over of flashback images, one with Dex (wearing a hat which reads "Troll 2" and a scarf) holding the pendant, and one of Dex either putting on the pendant or trying to take it off.) My memory's fuzzy about that thing. It was in my apartment, but I don't remember where it came from. It looked cool, so I put it on. I vaguely remember starting to take it off a few times... |
Noah | Someone was using this to channel magic energy into you. They must have pumped tyou full of magic power every time you tried to remove it. |
Dex | Neat. |
Noah | (sharing the panel with fantasy visuals of Dex surrounded by weird-looking monsters including the bulldog dragon) Different people respond differently to having magic power channeed into them. I think it made you disoriented and open to suggestions of whoever was able to get through that disorientation and communicate with you. |
Noah | It would also explain the selective amnesia, and how they kept you from taking the pendant off. |
Greg | Not that I am accusing you of anything, mister mysterious magic master, but is there any particular reason you know about this specific sort of thing? How often would this possibly come up? |
Noah | (sharing the panel with flashback image described below) ...There was a time when I was interested in quickly gaining power. If something is a foolish shortcut to power, I have been talked out of it. |
Noah holds a book called "How To Sell Your Soul For Power", Raven frowns at him and Noah responds to the frown with an embarrassed smile. |
