Justin | What possible reason could you have for closing the dodo?! |
Greg | For one thing, you three are currently my only students. |
Chirp Chirp | |
A ball of tumbleweed rolls on the floor. | |
Greg | For another, I'v been speaking with Nanase's uncle about what my training actually does. I've been lucky with you three, but I'm afraid the super mutant principle applies. |
Nanase | The what now? |
Elliot | Za? |
Justin | In a universe where anyone can be born with unpredictable super powers, there's always the possibility of those powers being dangerous, beyond the control of the user, and/or being used for evil. |
Greg | Correct! I can see that your extracurricular activity of working in a comic shop has paid off. |
Justin | That's my job. |
Greg | While I don't think any of us are mutants, anyone can get magic without us being able to predict what spells they'll get, so the principle still applies. You three are good kids, but my training could inadvertently give a sociopath atomic breath or something. While awesome, that would be totally irresponsible. |
