I can't post user blog comments so I reply to your comment here instead.

You're right that there is no reason other than pessimism to assume that Tedd has permanenty forgotten what Pandora told him about Noriko but it's not impossible. The same can be said about all the other times the characters have seemingly forgotten something:

    • The forgetting that Justin might awaken seem to be highly infectious disease. I mean, Edward had all reasons to check him for awakening after the fire guy incident just to be sure, and Justin himself should also be curious about that. It's likely that Dan has some plot point requiring Justin being awakened being surprise and deliberately makes everyone forget that there is easy way to verify that. That, or he waits for opportunity to put that revelation into some Justin-centered storyline (in such case, we may actually get that AS FLASHBACK on start of that story) - Justin didn't exactly got so much panel time recently ...

The other two examples, however, are both about discussions which require good opportunity and would make sense to postponing them due to not feeling like trying today repeatedly ... especially Nanase might be looking forward to such talk with Edward similarly as to visit to dentist. Unless magic also makes their teeth healthier, in which case talk with Edward is worse.

(Nevertheless, might not be bad idea to put these on some page. We may find more examples ...)

  • In Sister 3 Part 15 - Elliot and Ellen: Comic for Wednesday, May 3, 2017 I spelled out the coonection between energy buildups and the effect of improper awakening on new spells even though the characrets don't because the characters see the connection as obvious but I think it doesn't make sense. Do yo8u have any objection?

    • I don't disagree much with your latest reply but I have a nitpick.

Hkmaly wrote: However, if you want to see how powerful human magic fighter can be, think about Noriko Verres.

I assumed that's because she is a wizard (I would assume that Nanase is weaker than an average wizard if she didn't defeat Abraham) with extrardinary genetic talent even compared to other wizards.

Hkmaly wrote: I'm sure she's more powerful than Not-Tengu AND has stronger offensive spells.

I interpreted agent Wolf as implying that Not -Tengu is almost as strong as Noriko

Noriko IS wizard, but question how big difference it makes is still open ; it's possible that average wizard is stronger just because ALL wizards (except Ashley) need to have strong genetic talent, but compared to Nanase, who has likely same talent as Noriko but isn't wizard, the difference might be smaller or negligible.

Nanase DID defeated Abraham, however the main difference between her and Noriko in this case would be that Noriko is about 18 years older and spend most of that time training monster fighting.

And, yes, that genetic talent is definitely extraordinary even compared to other wizard. Royal level, remember? (Said about Nanase, but IMHO valid for Noriko as well.)

No. What he's implying is that both Noriko and Not-Tengu are stronger than most other agents. He, one of most powerful wizards in mid-western United States, is apparently not entirely sure if he would be able to defeat him. Of course, he may underestimate himself ... but he clearly considers Noriko much more powerful than he is.

Now, regarding the difference between Noriko and Not-Tengu ... Noriko won the fight and Not-Tengu was afraid to attack her directly, meaning he though she would be stronger than him even if he had element of surprise. He PROBABLY had home advantage and still was lucky to get away alive. I think that's enough to assume he's weaker.

  • I've started listing in the transcript pages when the comics take place. I would like to have a system to use after the comics stop giving dates. The only system I can come up with is "_ days before/after the apocalypse" but I would prefer to avoid referring to the events of late Sister 3 as the apocalypse because it wouldn't be obvious.

    • I expect it won't take long before Dan makes another pause of unknown length ... I would risk the apocalypse. It IS name of arc ...

  • I think we need a new thread for character form appearance categories. You haven't deleted the categories for spiritual plane human Helena and Demetrius (I won't link directly to the categories because those links would never go away from Special:Insights/wantedpages) And now the reason I post this now: should burned out Nanase get a form category?

If we don't do either it will be inconsistent to make category for burned out Nanase.

I meant one category for when she was changing during her awakening. If we go only by looks her combat form should not have a form category but I assumed that there was no such rule.

I think everything except the hair is supposed to be just facial expression and possibly some artistic license.

In any case, no burned out Nanase then.

  • I want to continue the discussion about Mrs. Kitsune here instesd of Talk:Retcons. I suspect Dan would no longer want Mrs. Kitsune to be so much of a jerk that she would pretend to hate lesbians to make Nanase fear her. I think Dan has also said that he doesn't care about plot holes from very early. It's possible that she just didn't realise at the time that Nanase was a lesbian (just because she hides what she knows doesn't mean that she is omniscient) but punishing Nanase for saying that it doesn't make sense to care so much about school and yet want her to be nothing but a homemaker (suggesting that she wants to be obeyed without question) also implies wanting Nanase to fear her.

True, it may just mean that it hasn't yet been confirmed to be false.

As far as we know she doesn't care about Nanase's feelings but it's possible that she cares just enough that she doesn't want Nanase to fear her as much as she used to.

True. There isn't enough confirmation in the comic itself for my headcanon that Mrs. Kitsune totally expects Nanase to become monster hunter (despite not WANTING that) and therefore she does her best to prepare her for it.

However, there would be quite a lot of stuff related to magic, DGB or the next two "insincere" topics of her sister and the "how much she knows about the stuff Nanase thinks she kept secret from her".

She cares about Nanase - her hug was sincere, despite her postponing that reaction. She surely also cares about Nanase's feelings, she just considers discipline more important. And she likely doesn't realize - or understand - how stressful is dealing with her for Nanase.

There is parallel with Edward and Tedd here: Edward cares about Tedd a lot, probably more than anything else, but he also hurts her, and doesn't even realize that.

    • I don't think characters that don't speak are completely comparable to other characters and more importantly the statistics page for supporting characters is overpopulated and I would like to remove the characters most different from the others first.

I agree in general, I'm just afraid you hit some very hard to decide cases. As I said, both Max and Jeremy talked with Grace. Fox also had one sentence. I suspect those three are on list of who will be moved ...

  • You claimed while editing List of main story arcs that the storyline Introductions is out-of continuity canon. What canonical information does it contain?

      Loading editor
    • That Tedd is guy :-)

Names of several characters, the school ... those may all seem trivial but they ARE canon and given those are first strips in comics they are not as trivial as they seem to long-time reader.

Also note that the main information is that the storyline, unlike most others in main archive, is NOT in-continuity. However, since you asked, yes that storyline is obviously canon.

Actually yes I would. I know that Sensei is not his name, but until we get his real name (which is not likely to happen) naming them just Greg would be potentially confusing. He's not main cast for everyone to know him AND it's even possible another Greg will appear.

... actually, thinking about it, it would probably be better to have the categories named Edward Verres instead of just Edward. Pity I didn't realized it earlier, I will understand if you wouldn't want to change it again.

Main eight and people we don't know second name of (like Diane) can have just one name, but others would be better with longer form of name.
