Lavender is an uryuom who is Edward Verres's girlfriend and also his personal assistant at the DGB.
History[]
Lavender served coffee to Edward, agent Wolf and agent Cranium during their meeting after Magus's arrival two years before the rest of the story. Wolf accused Lavender of putting "alien mind control spores" in the coffee and Lavender denied being an alien despite being visibly an uryuom.[4] Wolf and Lavender exchanged insulting notes.[5]
After a very public paranormal incident in April convinced most people that magic is real, Edward suggested that Lavender (who had followed Edward after he was reassigned to the new position as head of paranormal diplomacy[6]) could pretend to be someone who doesn't believe in magic, and Lavender said "I would be anything for you."[7]
Sometime in the following months Edward and Lavender started dating. When Susan asked Edward if zombies are possible (probably near the end of the year), Lavender was in his office and hugged his shoulders with her tail.[8]
When Edward's son Tedd threw a party with his friends at Edward's house on a Saturday in February the following year, Edward stayed at Lavender's house for the weekend.[9] While there, Edward proposed to Lavender and they decided that she would move in with him.[10] On the following Saturday Lavender asked Edward to tell Tedd and his girlfriend Grace (who lives with Tedd and Edward) that she would move in with them, and Edward explained that the past week wasn't the right time, but promised to tell them,[11] which he did later that day.[10]
Lavender didn't meet Tedd and Grace until sometime in spring as Edward was busy with his work and Lavender once went away on her sibling Lilac's wedding.[12]
On the day Lavender was going to meet Tedd and Grace, she told Edward that she was nervous about meeting Tedd because she was grateful about Tedd designing clone forms for the uryuoms and causing magic to change so that uryuoms can use magic.[13] Edward told her that they had to keep Tedd's importance to the uryuoms secret but Lavender said that they couldn't keep it secret because Tedd would be able to see that she would be using a human clone form and because Tedd would meet her uryuom friends later.[14]
Lavender, Edward, Tedd and Grace went to a restaurant together and they met outside the restaurant; Lavender was in a human clone form.[15] Lavender told Tedd about Projection|uryuom projections.[16] Inside the restaurant Lavender, Tedd and Grace told each other about themselves.[17]
Lavender will not move in with Edward until June because of the lease agreement for her apartment. Their wedding will be in late July.[12]
Relationships[]
Edward Verres[]
Lavender works as assistant to Edward Verres at DGB. She has a crush on him[7] (which might explain her voluptuous look) and eventually they started dating[9] and then became engaged.[10]
Agent Wolf[]
Agent Wolf and Lavender don't like each other since Wolf is into conspiracy theories about space aliens and Lavender is visibly uryuom.[4][18]
Tedd[]
When Edward's son Tedd learned that he would have an uryuom stepmother, he was confused and ambivalent[19] but when his father explained his thinking when he proposed to her,[20] Tedd became happy for him.[21]
Grace[]
When Tedd's girlfriend Grace learned that Edward is going to marry, she became happy to have new family,[19] especially since she wants uryuom friends as she is a seyunolu herself.[10] After she first met Lavender, she liked her.[22]
Appearance[]
Lavender is tall for an uryuom[23] (she is naturally that tall and so are much of her family).[17] In most of her early appearances she has uryuom antennae and her face is visibly uryuom. She has waist-length hair. She has very large breasts and her waist is less than half as wide as her hips.
Lavender also has a human clone form with the same height, figure and hair style as her uryuom look described above.[15]
She is able to change colors[1] ... and evidently Dan didn't settle on her canon default color scheme until after first drawing her in color.[2]
