Transcript[]
Sarah | It must have been an animal that knocked over the artifact, right? |
Grace | Yawn |
Susan | Most likely, but it could have been anyone or anything without ill intent. I'm mostly hoping some clueless hiker didn't wander off with it. |
Sarah | I'm more concerned about the whole "horrible evil waiting to kill us" possibility. |
Susan | Even if some evil individual was responsible, why would they sit in a cave for days for several days after doing whatever they did? The hammers are only good for punishing offensive men and slowing down certain monsters anyway, and the cave's warded-- |
Grace, who sits in the back seat, has fallen asleep. | |
Sarah | Wait wait wait--Slowing down monsters? |
Susan | The monster in France was fundamentally offensive to women and weak against weapons made of magic. You couldn't kill it with a hammer, but you could sure as hell slow it down. |
Sarah | Okay, that's it. Once we're at the motel and Grace is out of her pancake coma, you're telling us what happened in France! |
Susan | What? But-- |
Grace | Z |
Sarah | No buts! You learned about the hammers there, you and Nanase fought a monster weak against magic weapons there, we are now officially in "need to know" territory! You're telling! |
Susan | ...Will you still insist on hearing about France if I apologize for not researching earthquakes? |
Sarah | You should apologize for that anyway! |
Susan | Dammit. |
