Charlotte tells Diane that Nanase lost her magic when she used a powerful spell to save Ellen and cites Nanase's partly black hair as evidence. Nanase and Ellen say that their magic, even if Nanase got hers back, isn't useful for undoing the magic affecting Rhea and the others. Nanase tries to phone Edward but her phone doesn't work.
