Escape From The Mall is the thirty first story arc in EGS:NP. It started with EGS:NP Comic for 2016-09-07 and ended with EGS:NP Comic for 2016-10-14. It's canon and it features Catalina Bobcat and Rhoda. It starts some time before Pandora Raven saw them in Marker.
Summary[]
The storyline begins with Catalina and Rhoda talking about Rhoda's new jacket.[1] Then they talked about what Rhoda already found about her spell: Eating a cookie she had grown made her bigger[2] and she barely managed to take off her clothes so that they weren't destroyed.[3] She can only resize one item at a time so she thought she couldn't change someone's clothes with them, but her earrings change with her.[4] Catalina suggested that she should eat a cupcake while shrunk.[5]
While Catalina and Rhoda were talking about shopping for books, Pandora saw them[6] (shown by a panel identical to one in Marker[7]). While Catalina and Rhoda were buying cookies Pandora marked Catalina.[8] Catalina cast her new spell, turning her into a catgirl, when Rhoda cuddled with her,[9] but nobody noticed right away due to change blindness,[10][11] until Catalina touched her tail.[12] After Rhoda saw what Catalina had noticed[13] Rhoda suggested that she had a magic mark and could change back but Catalina thought they needed to escape the mall (title drop) first[14] as she thought that trying to disenchant herself would be too risky[15] Rhoda said that they had to act natural to avoid attracting attention.[16] They abandoned the first attempt after noticing a group of anime and manga cosplayers.[17][18]
