Crystalline turtle frogs are magical beings that are considered legendary helpers in the Other half of the Main Universe.[1] One crystalline turtle frog sometimes contacts Edward in his side of the universe to provide information, usually bad news.[2] Edward calls this crystalline turtle frog Steve because Steve refused to give a name to avoid being summoned.[3] During the meeting about Tedd's laboratory at Moperville University, Edward was called away from the meeting to meet Steve.[2] Thus Edward went to meet the crystalline turtle frog.[4][5] Steve informed Edward that the flow of magic blocked by the magic energy clog would normalize naturally[6] but would move to Moperville University[7]
