Assorted 2018 is the forty fifth story arc in EGS:NP. It started with the EGS:NP Comic for 2018-09-03 and ended with the EGS:NP Comic for 2018-10-12. It is a series of standalone strips.
Summary
In the first strip Dan noted that there are two two unrelated anime shows called Little Witch Academia and My Hero Academia and declared that he was going to follow that trend by renaming his comic "El Goonish Academia".[1]
In the second strip Noah told Elliot that he had come up with a sport based on baseball where the pitcher and the batter work together to hit targets.[2]
In the third strip Tedd asked Susan if she had any objections to a fighting game where the villain kidnapped women to make them fight in skimpy outfits. Susan had no objection when she was just told that it's a sexy fighting game but when she heard the full premise she became uncomfortable.[3]
In the fourth strip Justin told George about a comic whose selling point was to bring back the good old days of having no social agenda. George pointed out that this selling point is a social agenda, which made the comic vanish from the contradiction.[4]
In the fifth strip Dan learned that Patreon had made his account eighteen plus only for reasons that they didn't reveal. Grace took this to mean that she was allowed to be naked, which made her happy.[5] Then Dan learned that the eighteen plus flag had been overturned and, anxious about that happening again, put winter clothing on Grace.[6]
In the seventh strip Grace told Sarah that she was sad that she didn't find her favorite let's play channel funny enough to subscribe but she still watched it.[7]
In the eighth strip the superheroine Spider Grace reported to Sarah (who was apparently a policewoman) that she had trapped several criminals in webs and left them in various inaccessible places.[8] In the next strip newspaper editor Rich, who was suspicious of Spider Grace, ordered his reporters to photograph her and Grace gave him photos. He didn't suspect her even though she was named Grace and had six arms.[9]
