Looks like there is some work left before everything works as intended. I've been trying to register but so far I haven't received any confirmation email. Tried several mail accounts on different domains to make sure it wasn't a server error on my end or a blocked domain.
Did you tried gmail?
Didn't even think of it, but it worked. I've had that gmail account for ages, and this was the first time I actually logged into the mail service and checked. Never needed to before as the only reason I had it in the first place was to log in to google search... ;)
What might be going on is that the 910cmx.com domain is on a blacklist that the IPS's whose mail services I normally use enforces. I know that my browser screams bloody murder every day when I first try to access the domain, and I have to manually override the security settings as it claims the domain has been reported to host all kinds of nasties. It's been that way for probably a year now, but I've never bothered to investigate further. There was some problems way back when I think someone kept hacking the domain, but the admin (and know that I've racked my brain trying to remember his name! Thankless is the life of a site administrator. When it doesn't work everyone knows who you are, but no matter how much work you do no one notices if everything works as it should...) got on top of it and I've seen no sign of malicious code on the site since. My only defense for not reporting that their information is dated is that I honestly have no idea what security service company is compiling the blacklist. I guess I'll take a stab at it the next time I see the warning.
That and in all other cases when a domain has been blacklisted the emails used to be sanitized and sent to the junk bin, while it appears that the emails from 910cmx is sent directly to /dev/nul
Thanks for suggesting gmail though as that solved my immediate problems.
By the way I seriously (not really) considered registering the name "A Wikia contributor" so I could use "I am Legion, for I am A Wikia contributor" as a signature. But it would only have been fun for a short while, and not really relevant on the forum over at 910cmx. Here on the other hand I feel it's quite appropriate... :)
